Bred to hunt otter and rat, England. Traced after a kennel photograph in Dogs of All Nations, 1915.
The two marks
Heavy brushed fleece, 80% cotton. Dropped shoulders, a lined hood and a front pocket. The silhouette is embroidered small in the centre of the chest, in brass thread. The breed’s card is printed big on the back: its name in English and Arabic, what it was bred for and where its picture comes from, in lead ink on Bone and Sand, bone on Cypress, Pine, Chestnut and Black.
